Macmahon Mining, with its remote location experience and knowledge of logistics and resourcing, provides a comprehensive mine to mill capability for both surface and underground operations.

Macmahon works with international companies including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Peabody Energy and Newmont Mining, to mine minerals and base metals including coal, copper, diamonds, gold, iron ore and nickel.

Macmahon offers a complementary capacity to deliver a range of associated resource infrastructure.  With proven capabilities in bulk earthworks, tailings dams, access roads, site preparation and concrete structures.

Surface mining services include drilling, blasting, mining, crushing and screening services utilising a large range of modern mining equipment.

Undergound mining services include complete drilling and installation of cables, installation of dynamic cable bolts, shotcreting, raise drilling and engineering facility fabrication.

Macmahon is able to operate independently on site,  requiring minimal assistance from its customers.

The successful acquisition and integration of specialised mining service business, ARD and CRE, in late 2006 has exceeded expectations. Increasing capabilities and adding to the mining portfolio, Macmahon now offers a complete underground mining service to customers.

Current underground contracts include works at the Argyle Diamond Mine in the Kimberley region of Western Australia and the Olympic Dam project in South Australia.

The surface division’s current contracts include the Orebody 18 mine in Western Australia and the Eaglefield Coal Mine in Queensland.
