Promote employment, education and training opportunities
Improve the understanding and aspirations of Indigenous people through meaningful consultation. Assist Indigenous people in identifying positive economic development opportunities and if appropriate, work towards developing and implement partnerships.Understand Indigenous culture
Develop and implement Indigenous awareness courses to assist employees to gain an understanding of local culture. Develop processes that allow for partnerships without hindering Indigenous people’s cultural responsibilities Provide a working environment that is culturally sensitive and supportive for all employees.
Macmahon has a long history designing traineeships and development programs for Indigenous people and we are pleased to provide our support to the “Get into Mining” programme to deliver positive and meaningful outcomes to all involved at the Tropicana Gold Mine in WA.
