Trainees

Our structured programs in RII20420 - Certificate II in Underground Metalliferous Mining and RII30120 - Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations, offer aspiring individuals an entry point into the mining industry, supplemented with the opportunity to acquire nationally recognised qualifications tailored to their chosen career paths.

Embracing diversity, our traineeship programs attract participants from various backgrounds, including veterans from the Australian Defence Force, professionals from the hospitality and catering industry, administrative experts, bus drivers, retailers and individuals with experience in agriculture, among others.

The selection process for becoming a Macmahon Trainee is robust and competitive, drawing in hundreds of applicants each year. Successful candidates can expect a comprehensive training plan delivered by highly skilled trainers within a fully supported environment.

As a Registered Training Organisation, Macmahon Contractors (RTO 52303) proudly boasts two national training facilities in Western Australia and Queensland. Eligibility for application extends to residents of these states. Applicants must reside in these states to be eligible to apply.

Upon registration, individuals will be prioritised to receive email notifications regarding upcoming traineeship opportunities and encouraged to apply. Our thorough assessment process will identify successful candidates, who will then be invited by email to attend an Assessment Day, making the next step in their journey with Macmahon.
