Through a grant from the Macmahon Foundation, the Bully Zero Australia Foundation delivered bullying prevention and resilience programs to schools in the communities surrounding Macmahon’s Byerwen project near Glenden.
The initiative reached 488 students across Glenden State School, Bowen State High School and St Mary’s Catholic School through 10 interactive sessions. The program covered topics including understanding bullying, respectful communication, online safety, resilience and preparing young people for the workforce.
By investing in preventative education, the Macmahon Foundation is helping equip students with the skills and confidence to build positive relationships, respond to challenging situations and create safer, more inclusive school communities.
Supporting initiatives that strengthen the wellbeing of young people reflects Macmahon’s commitment to creating lasting social value in regional communities where its employees and their families live and work. Feedback from participating schools will help inform the ongoing impact of the program.
