Macmahon has a load and haul services contract with Talison Lithium Australia Pty Ltd for the Greenbushes lithium project in Western Australia.
This contract involves open-cut mining activities of load and haul, and crusher feed, which commenced on 1 July 2023 for a 7-year period with an option to extend for up to 2 years. The contract is estimated to generate revenue in excess of $1.1 billion over its initial 7-year term.
This contract will add approximately $1.1 billion to our order book, which delivers on our commodity diversification strategy into future relevant commodities. We have built a strong relationship with the Talison Lithium team and look forward to developing this project with them.
The Greenbushes mine in Western Australia is the biggest operating lithium mine in the world. It is located approximately 250km south of Perth within the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes, Western Australia.
