To join as an auto electrician, you’ll need a recognised trade certificate and proven hands-on experience. Previous work on mining equipment is highly valued, as our crews maintain large fleets across Australia’s biggest projects.

How much experience do I need to work as an HD mechanic at Macmahon?

To join Macmahon as an HD mechanic, you’ll need relevant trade qualifications along with previous experience maintaining mining or heavy mobile plant equipment. Experience with major OEMs such as Caterpillar, Hitachi, Liebherr, Sandvik, Komatsu, and Epiroc is highly regarded.

Are FIFO maintenance jobs available?

Yes. Many maintenance roles are FIFO. We provide return flights, camp accommodation, and meals, as well as access to fitness and wellbeing programs. These roles give you the chance to work on major projects while still balancing time at home.
