Brittany enjoys the responsibility of being part of a production team that keeps a Surface Mine moving – and is clear about what makes the work rewarding.

“I enjoy the responsibility and being part of a production team that keeps the mine moving. Every operator plays a role, and it’s rewarding to see how the work we do contributes to the bigger operation.”

Since joining, she’s been backed to develop her career – training, support from supervisors, and the chance to take on new responsibilities have all helped her build confidence in her role.

“Macmahon has given me opportunities to grow. The training, the support from my supervisors, and the chance to develop new skills have really helped me build my confidence.”

Being identified as a potential leader is something she doesn’t take lightly.

“It’s really encouraging to be called out as a potential leader. Being recognised by leaders means a lot, and it motivates me to keep improving and learning from those around me.”

Her ambition is clear – keep developing, keep learning, and move into a leadership role.

“I’ve been supported to grow in my role, and I’m motivated to keep developing my skills and step into a leadership role.”

Her advice to anyone weighing up a career at Macmahon mirrors her own approach.

“Be open to learning, and take every opportunity that comes your way. It can be challenging, but it’s also a really rewarding career path.”

Brittany’s story shows what Build Your Future looks like in practice,  a clear pathway, the right support behind her, and leaders who see what’s next.
