Togara works on the major maintenance that can’t be done in the field, planned services, component changeouts and the kind of repairs that bring haul trucks, loaders, diggers and dozers back to full health.
“Most of my shift is planned work – major services, component changeouts, and repairs that can’t be done in the field. We start with a pre-start meeting, go over job allocations, then it’s straight into whatever is scheduled.”
The best part of the job for Togara is solving the big problems and seeing the result roll out the workshop door.
“Fixing major issues is the best part of my job, getting the machine back out and running.”
Macmahon ticks the boxes that matter to him as a tradesperson – the systems, the workshops, the structure, and the room to move across projects or upskill.
“Macmahon is a big contractor with good systems, structure, good pay, solid workshop setups, and there’s room to move around projects and upskill.”
For Togara, that combination is what makes Macmahon a place to plan a long-term future.
“I work on major maintenance for haul trucks, diggers and loaders, the best part is solving big issues and getting machines back on site. Macmahon’s strong systems, excellent workshops and career development opportunities make it a great place to grow and plan for your future.”
His message to anyone considering the move is direct.
“If you want stability, structured work and big gear, Macmahon is for you.”
Togara’s story is the Surface Mining maintenance story at its sharpest – precision in the workshop, power behind every fix, and the performance to back it up.
