Eli joined Decmil in November 2025 on the Warradarge Wind Farm Project, where a supportive crew and hands-on experience from day one set the tone for what was to come. When the opportunity came to transfer across to Waddi at the project’s earliest stage, he took it.
“I started in November 2025 at the Warradarge Wind Farm Project. The team was very helpful and supportive, and I had hands-on experience immediately. After Warradarge, I transferred to the Waddi Windfarm project. I’ve been here since the absolute start, so it’s a great feeling to know that I’ll be here from the start to the finish.”
Eli works a 10-and-4 DIDO roster. Each shift starts with pre-starts and safety checks before he climbs into whichever machine he’s assigned that day – and from there it’s about working with the crew to keep the build moving safely and efficiently.
What keeps Eli engaged is the combination of variety, team, and visible progress. The chance to operate a range of machines, work alongside a strong crew, and watch a project rise from the ground up is the career he wanted to build.
“I get the chance to develop my skills, work with a great team, and build a career that I’m proud of. If you’re willing to develop your civil construction skills, there’s definitely a spot for you here at the Waddi Windfarm project with Decmil.”
Eli’s story is what Build Your Future looks like in practice – a project taken from groundworks to commissioning, a crew that brings you in from day one, and a career that grows with every machine you climb into.
