Phub thrives in the dynamic atmosphere of a major civil build, where a typical day is fast-paced and varied. Rather than being restricted to a single silo, she splits her time between the site and the office, gaining exposure across multiple engineering scopes.
“I’m between site and office working across the earth works and structural and steel. I’m responsible for reporting QA and QC planning three weeks look-ahead and handling technical queries and design issues at site.”
That direct involvement in earthworks and structural steel has accelerated her technical capability. For an early-career engineer, taking on major tasks is made manageable by the deep culture of support and trust embedded within the Decmil team.
“There’s a strong support from the company and a real trust in my capabilities. I have been given responsibility early and a clear path to grow.”
Knowing her contributions matter motivates her to drive high standards on site. She is clear-eyed about what success looks like in her role and how her day-to-day tasks connect to the broader project goals.
“Winning for me is like delivering quality work safely, staying on track and contributing to a team that gets result.”
With leaders who actively invest in her future, Phub is building the diverse skill set required to become a well-rounded project leader. Her story perfectly reflects what Inspire. Influence. Impact. means for the next generation of engineers, where you get the real experience, the real responsibility, and the opportunity to develop fast.
