Bill’s journey with Macmahon began in July 2006 when he was hired as a Shift Electrician at Olympic Dam. His commitment to excellence and leadership qualities were evident and led to his promotion to Electrical Supervisor in 2011. Bill continued to demonstrate his expertise and dedication at Olympic Dam until September 2015.

In October 2015, Bill transitioned to the Ranger 3 Deeps project, where he contributed significantly until 2019. Following this, he joined the Tropicana Gold Mine underground project, Boston Shaker, showcasing his versatility and dedication for a further eight months.

March 2020 marked a new chapter in Bill’s career as he moved to Queensland to join the Byerwen Coal project as an HV Electrician. Since then, Bill has been an integral part of the Byerwen team, consistently demonstrating his technical prowess and unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency.

To honour Bill’s milestone, the Byerwen team recently celebrated with a pizza night after the day shift. During the celebration, Bill was presented with the Team MAC Leader Award, a model haul truck and a plaque as a testament to his significant contributions to Macmahon over the past 18 years.
