Diana Hinschen is a Senior Administrator at one of our Queensland sites, Lycullin. After two decades of running her own hairdressing business, Diana needed a sea change and decided to take her husband’s advice and give mining a try – she hasn’t looked back!

Working a DIDO role means Diana drives three hours from her home in Airlie Beach to site on a Monday and drives home after work on Friday. The DIDO schedule is ideal, as it provides Diana with a great work-life balance, and she can spend time with her friends and family every weekend.

Diana loves her job, and surprisingly, her favourite part is when deadlines loom because she finds it satisfying to achieve goals and help others achieve them, too. This is Macmahon’s value of “pride” in action. Diana takes pride in every project she takes on.

I like my work to be as organised and accurate as possible. I also like to find solutions to issues that arise.”

Diana doesn’t just take pride in her work but the relationships she has built with fellow employees and vendors over the last two years.
